Questions
Where can Blue
Gizmo thermometers be used in? And in what industry?
The whole Blue Gizmo range consists of 3-product category that
form our measuring instruments range. The 3 categories are Infrared
Thermometers, Probe Thermometers and Data loggers. Blue Gizmo
instruments are focused in mainly measuring Temperature &
Humidity.
All our instruments from Blue Gizmo can be used
in most Industries such as Food & Beverage, HVAC, Automobile,
Pharmaceutical, Electronic and laboratory testing.
Where is Blue
Gizmo from?
Blue Gizmo is first established in Singapore in 2001 with its
first range of hand-held Infrared Thermometers. The objective
of Blue Gizmo is to provide affordable and quality instruments
solution to the end-user. To date, Blue Gizmo is selling to over
10 countries all around the world and is continuing to expand
to more countries with its increasingly popularity.
What is my Warranty
for Blue Gizmo?
All Blue Gizmo are warranty against all manufacturing defects
from the date of purchase for 9 months. However, we will look
into reasonable cases of manufacturer defects even after the warranty
period, if it ever happens.
Do Blue Gizmo
provide Calibration Certificate?
No, Blue Gizmo do not provide calibration certificate even though
our products factory calibrated during production. Like most others
instrument manufacturer, a Calibration Certificate would mean
another calibration test to be carried out, which also means a
separate calibration charge will be involve.
Do Blue Gizmo
provide calibration service?
Yes, we do provide Professional Calibration Service in our “ISO
9000” accredited laboratory. Of course, a separate charge
in calibration service will be involved. All calibration required
would have to be requested before placing your orders. In usual
cases, the cost of calibration will usually be more expensive
then replacing the instruments itself.
Is BG Disinfectant
Wipes tested and proven?
Yes, all our Blue Gizmo wipes have undergone food laboratory test
and it is safe for use in Food-Related applications. Refer to
our “Material Safety Data Sheet” in PDF files for
more details.
Technical
Questions
Why do my Infrared
Thermometer screen shows a “HI” or “LOW”
sign?
In such cases, your Infrared Sensor or aperture could be damaged
by exceeding operating temperature, or the sensors are damage
by shocks or drop. This is usually caused by mishandling of equipment.
Always read the user manual before any operation.
What is the accuracy
of Blue Gizmo?
We do not compromise our accuracy on our affordability. Most of
our instruments have a calibration accuracy of +/- 1 Deg.C in
Temperature and +/- 5% in Humidity. Accuracy of our Dataloggers
can even reach +/- 0.7 Deg. C and +/- 3% to 5% in Humidity.
All Blue Gizmo is tested and passed through
a series of stringent checks during production and in our Quality
Department. Generally, all Blue Gizmo do not need extra calibration
as they are all factory calibrated during productions.
Can Blue Gizmo
thermometers be re-calibrated?
Not all models of Blue Gizmo can be re-calibrated, such as BG
32 and BG 42 Infrared Thermometers, which have a fixed emmisivity.
The reason for the fixed setting on the more common models is
to prevent unnecessary adjustments on the emissive value and settings.
Which will affect the accuracy of the thermometer.
Again, all Blue Gizmo do not need extra calibration
as they are all factory calibrated during productions.
Why my Thermometer is not working after
powering-on?
Usually this will not happen as all our products are checked during
production and a second check in our Quality Department before
reaching you. Make sure that your batteries is in working conditions
and the main switch is “ON” (E.g. BG 42 has a main
switch in the batteries compartment.)
In cases of your failed attempt, let us know
your situation via our email and we will attend to you as soon
as possible.
Why is the reading
on my Infrared Thermometer inconsistent and inaccurate when I
shine at any shiny surface?
You have to make sure that you are not using the Infrared Thermometer
to measure on shiny smooth surface and on liquid surface. The
capture Infrared waves will cause the infrared readings to be
deflected and therefore inaccurate readings. All Infrared Thermometers
in the industry are best to be used on dark rough surface for
a more accurate reading.
